We would like to thank the party chairman Friedrich Merz and the treasurer of the CDU, Julia Klöckner, for their enthusiasm for our presence at the party conference and the successes and innovations of PAPACKS in the packaging world. We were also particularly pleased about the visit from North Rhine-Westphalia by Paul Ziemiak, Secretary General of the CDU state association of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Dr. Patricia Peill, Treasurer of the state association. Both showed great interest in a more intensive exchange in the future.
A highlight of the party conference was the speech by Ursula von der Leyen, who impressively emphasized: "This Europe must be protected and preserved." She spoke about the importance of European security and the need to invest in green technologies and emphasized the relevance of sustainable innovation for the future of Europe.
Friedrich Merz, the newly re-elected chairman of the CDU, presented the party's new basic program. He emphasized that it offers "orientation, stability and confidence in uncertain times" and made clear how important it is to give people security and trust. These values are also reflected in the work of PAPACKS, which develops sustainable solutions for the packaging industry to ensure ecological and economic safety.
Our aim was to make policy makers aware of the importance of sustainable packaging for a greener future. Our innovative solutions already offer viable alternatives for numerous industries and show that economic success and ecological responsibility can go hand in hand.
The party conference provided an important platform to enter into dialog with leading politicians and help shape the political course for more sustainable business decisions.
