Evgeny Prigozhin's thunder run towards Moscow may have ended with a whimper instead of a bang, but what some have already called "the worst coup ever" still leaves many questions unanswered. Among them is the future of Belarus, which saw a window of opportunity open briefly with the promise of chaos, but then Lukashenko's unexpectedly jumped in to mediate between Putin and Prigozhin and caused further confusion. Has the time now come for Belarusian opposition to "use this historical chance and become a prosperous European country", as the famous Belarusian military officer Valery Sakhashchyk recently said? And if so, how can the Lukashenko regime be dislodged with Russian nukes scattered around Belarusian territory?
