Schon als Kind hatte Yanelly den Traum, Ärztin zu werden. Da sie mit ihrer alleinerziehenden Mutter in extremer Armut lebte, fragte sie sich oft: „Wird aus mir jemals etwas werden?“ Yanelly erzählt selbst, welche Zuversicht sie aus ihrer Compassion-Patenschaft gezogen hat und ob sie ihren Kindheitstraum verwirklichen konnte.
