Hong Kong’s government-managed beaches were reopened on November 3, 2020, more than three months after they were closed to fight the spread of Covid-19. The further relaxation of social-distancing measures followed an October 30 change to boost the number of people allowed to sit together in restaurants four to six. The limit on group sizes in bars and pubs also rose from two to four, and such venues were permitted to resume offering on-site services until 2am, an extension from the midnight closing time that had been in place.
