Learn to create a face mask using We Love Colors tights, some fabric scraps, and basic sewing skills. This easy tutorial walks you through the steps of repurposing old, damaged, or worn out tights into DIY face mask ear loops.
The loops can be made with nylon or spandex tights, old t-shirts, and even kids leggings. We recommend reusing or repurposing materials for this project. Not only does that help Mother Nature and eliminate waste, it also lets you see the same material in a new way.
Want a stronger loop? Colorful shoelaces make a great elastic alternative. Especially with the current elastic shortages.
For creating the mask itself, you can use 100% cotton fabrics or even scraps you have laying around. For best results make sure you use two layers of material, which will create a thicker barrier and a more durable mask.
