Plant-for-the-Planet Scientists have found that areas with trees are up to 12 degrees Celsius cooler than built-up areas. So trees act like air conditioners. Conversely, forest fires are very bad news: When a forest burns, our natural air conditioning systems are on fire.
But forest fires are also bad news for restoration organizations. Because the fight against the climate crisis is also a fight against the clock. Every fire is a hard setback in that fight. Plant-for-the-Planet faced this challenge and developed an app to help fight these fires.
