Ever since the release of Minecraft version 1.9, many PvPers were not satisfied with the state of Minecraft's combat system. Aware of their players' growing concerns for combat, Mojang released numerous experimental updates for a new version of Minecraft combat, redesigned from the ground up. Mysteriously, this combat update was never introduced into the live game, and was seemingly left abandoned.
