This series of verses occurs at the Paschal Supper on Thursday night before Passover. It contains the beginning of Jesus' longest discourse and what will prove to be his last. It is an intriguing lesson on humility and servanthood; some discussion is given to the mind of Christ. I say intriguing because it contains a physical level of teaching and a spiritual level. The spiritual level is a little hard to notice until a fair amount of time is spent in meditation and consideration. Once-saved -always saved is here, in the bath. Also included is spiritual foot washing to show periodic repair of relationship with God, as needed.
The prompting of Judas by Satan is discussed, pulling in the event of Satan's prompting of the woman in the Garden of Eden. There may be some things for one to consider here.
