LIVE: Smog engulfs Indian capital New Delhi

South China Morning Post Heavy smog continues to envelope landmarks in New Delhi as air quality in the Indian capital deteriorates to the worst seen in 2020. The pollution is blamed in part on fires to burn away crop waste in neighbouring states and from vehicle exhaust emissions. India’s main environmental monitoring agency has predicted severe pollution to remain for the next 24 hours because of low winds and rising humidity levels.
