Words and music by Morten Eden Fredriksen 2023. Early one morning I woke up to this melody. Before noon, the lyrics had come through. This is the first recording. I can hear a fiddle and a tin flute in a distanse, with bass and harmonica, and maybe some percussion... The video picture is from inside the sea chest of sailor Nils Nilsen from Råde, my grandfathers uncle. At this time Norway was in union with Sweden. The paintings is by Joh. Bernhardsen, unknown to me.
