Have you ever gotten halfway through a project before realizing that you have an even BETTER idea? You might be tempted to stick with what you started, but according to our wise and talented Sharon, it's OKAY to change your mind! Creativity strikes when it wants to, and in this case, it brought us this velvety, citrusy, umami cocktail that will definitely blow your mind. This one is a winner!!
If you're skeptical about the mushroom-infused rum, rest assured that this is not a "mushroomy" cocktail. Nor does it have psychedelic properties! That being said, we can't guarantee that you won't be transported to a white-sand beach on the coast of Mexico after a few sips... It's earthy and refreshing with just the right amount of citrus to balance out the sweetness. So trust Sharon's creative genius on this one, and drink up! Salúd.
INGREDIENTS:
► 2 oz Sol Tarasco Charando Añejo Rum
► ¾ oz Cappelletti Aperitivo Americano Rosso
► ½ oz mint-infused simple syrup
► ½ oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
► 1 egg white or 2 dashes of Fee Foam
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Add rum, cappelletti, simple syrup, lime juice and egg white (or substitute) to a shaker.
2. Shake for 10-15 seconds without ice.
3. Add ice and shake for another 30 seconds, up to 1-2 minutes.
4. Strain into a coupe glass.
5. Marvel at the non-hallucinogenic powers of our mushroom-infused rum.
