Bible Matters with Chuck Schussman Looking at the significance of the last line in the great Messianic prophecy of Isaiah 9:1-7, "The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this." This phrase is repeated later in the account of Sennacherib's threat to Judah in 701 B.C.. It is instructive to read that account (chapters 36-37), and to compare it to the parallel account of Ahaz and the Syro-Ephriamic coallition in chapter 7:1-17, and then to circle back and note the significance of the phrase "the zeal of the LORD...", etc.
