I’ve been on social media now for over a decade and I’ve learned a lot over the years when dealing with negativity, hate & trolls. Here are 3 tips I’ve learned that I want to pass on to you to make your online journey a bit easier to navigate.
Ignore the noise, focus on what you love, and remember: not every opinion deserves your energy.
Kill ’em with kindness or starve them of attention—they usually retreat to their internet caves. Trolls thrive on attention hence the saying “Don’t feed the trolls.”
Most importantly don’t take things personally (I know it’s easier said than done) but hurt people hurt people. 99% of the time they are projecting and it has nothing to do with you. Learn to brush it off and know they don’t matter and their opinions don’t count.
