Many of us have found ourselves going in a lot of directions for many reasons. Life and other people get in the way of us seeing our own things clearly. Sometimes we get in our own way. Wouldn't you agree that it's very easy to help others see their errors or to give others advice? What's more, we don't always take our own advice. So, what do we do when it comes to our lives?
It's not as easy as you think but you can begin by changing your thinking. Acknowledge that you don't have all the answers. In fact, our knowledge is limited. We only know what we've been told, taught or what we've discovered. Certainly there's more to the story of life than we know. Certainly at least 2 others know more than us. If we'd humble ourselves and decide to lean less on our own understanding of everything, perhaps we'd learn and see some new and amazing things concerning our lives. I agree with the writer of this Proverb. I'll submit to his knowledge. He's saying, in addition to humbling ourselves we must also trust in and submit to the Lord with our entire heart.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Meditate on this Word, day and night and allow it to prosper you.
