We need beliefs, values, and convictions in life. If you don’t stand for anything, you will fall for everything. That is exactly what we see happening today in our culture. Most people gladly accept what they are told to believe as true.
In today’s reading, Peter is challenged to state his claim as to who Jesus is. Peter confesses Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Jesus then proclaims it is upon Peter’s confession that the Church will be built.
