Michael Lindsay-Hogg directed the 1970 British documentary Let It Be, which starred the Beatles. The movie follows the band as they practiced and recorded songs in January 1969 for their upcoming twelfth and last studio album, Let It Be. The group's surprise rooftop concert—their final appearance in public—is featured in the movie.
May 8, 2024, is scheduled for the exclusive Disney+ debut of "Let it Be." The movie is now accessible for the first time in more than 50 years. Let It Be now has a proper place in The Beatles' history, having been released in May 1970 amid the chaos of the band's dissolution.
