And just recently, Elon Musk just leaked a planetary defense that will shock everyone.

According to Elon Musk, there is no defense against the asteroid "God of Chaos."
In 10 years, Apophis, also referred to as the "God of Chaos" asteroid, will approach Earth.
One in 45,000 chances exist that the 340 meter asteroid will collide with the Earth head-on. On the other hand, as it passes past, it will come as close as 30,000 km to the Earth's surface.
The effects will be catastrophic if the "God of Chaos" decides to move even little. The aftermath will be much worse than any other asteroid impact on Earth in recorded human history.
It may only be a matter of time until an asteroid strikes Earth, according to scientists. Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is the most recent person to get on the bandwagon.
In response to God of Chaos, he declared, "Earth will eventually be hit by a large rock, and we currently have no defense."
He is not mistaken. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is working to research and safeguard Earth from potentially hazardous asteroids. However, it does not actually have mechanisms in place to protect the planet in the event that an asteroid is headed straight for it.
NASA only recently made public its first Planetary Defence Technology Demonstration. The space agency's first mission to show off its defense strategies is the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART).
The majority of people are typically concerned with how an asteroid will affect Earth, however few consider the influence that Earth might have on an asteroid.
For example, the repercussions of a close encounter with Earth won't be resistant to the God of Chaos. According to researchers at NASA, the planet's gravitational field will undoubtedly have an effect on the asteroid's orbit and may alter the way Apophis rotates.
Apophis's surface could shift due to the gravitational attraction, which is interesting enough, and an avalanche could occur.
On the other hand, more than four years after NASA's DART probe collided with one of the asteroid system Didymos' two space rocks, the European Space Agency's (ESA) Hera mission will reach the binary asteroid system.
The Didymos pair will become the most extensively examined space rocks in the universe by the time all the dust produced by the experimental collision has settled. Hera and its two companion cubesats will be able to do this with the help of the experimental collision.
Before NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART), which collided with the asteroid moonlet Dimorphos on September 26, Hera—or its precursor concept, AIM (for Asteroid Impact Mission), was supposed to arrive at Didymos. Hera was intended to be a witness to the groundbreaking experiment, which was created to confirm the "kinetic impact" technology that one day might protect Earth from a catastrophic asteroid attack. Hera was outfitted with a complex set of cameras and sensors.
