Brian e suo padre Maurice vivono in uno squallido parco di case mobili. Quando l'istituto in cui è in cura Lucien, fratello di Brian con disabilità mentale, offre un compenso finanziario se si occuperanno di lui durante le vacanze estive, Maurice accetta immediatamente. Brian comincia a prendersi cura di Lucien e lentamente diventano veri fratelli. Intanto i rapporti tra Maurice e i suoi creditori si fanno tesi e la casa mobile comincia a non essere più un luogo sicuro per Lucien. Brian si ritrova così costretto a prendere una decisione da adulto.

Brian and his father Maurice live in a shabby mobile home park. When the care institution offers a financial fee if they will take care of Brian's severely mentally disabled brother Lucien over the summer holiday, Maurice immediately agrees. Brian takes on the care of Lucien, and they slowly become real brothers. But as matters escalate between Maurice and his creditors, the mobile home is no longer a safe place for Lucien, so Brian is forced to make an adult decision.
