In the Fourth Vlog from my September 2024 Trip back to Florida, I am still in the Historic City of St Augustine visiting the Catholic Mission Nombre de Dios where the First Mass in North America was Performed. The Mission traces its origins to September 8th 1565 when Admiral Pedro Menéndez de Avilés landed with a Band of Settlers to Found St Augustine. I take you to The Big Cross which was Dedicated in 1966 for the 400th Anniversary of the Founding of St Augustine.and look inside the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche. Apologies for my dreadful pronunciation of some Spanish words!
