SABC News The State Information Technology Agency, or SITA, has called for an end to a strike by its workers as it moves to put contingency measures in place to mitigate against the disruption of services at government departments. The workers belonging to the Public Servants Association which represents the majority of employees at SITA are on day two of their national strike following a deadlock in salary negotiations. The government IT workers are demanding a 7.5% salary increase coupled with non financial benefits while the employer is offering 5%. SITA Chief Negotiator, Zamani Dladla.
