Rohema Wearing shorts in all weathers. Daniel has been in the Rohema workshop for 23 years. He is our longest serving employee and has been THE expert for grinding our drumsticks for a good 10 years.
First, he rounds the tip and checks the stick for straightness. Then he grinds the shoulder and finally the rest of the stick. All by hand. This requires skills, sensitivity and years of practice. When it comes to tumble lacquering, Daniel likes to experiment with new colors, lacquers or waxes and is always happy about extraordinary custom designs.
Daniel is a perfectionist and has very high standards for himself and his work. If a customer is not satisfied, he gets upset and it is better not to talk to him until he has found an appropriate solution.
What does he like most about Rohema? It's quite relaxed, almost like being part of a big family. Sure, there are arguments from time to time, but at the end of the day everyone sits together, drinks coffee and has a good time. There is only one thing he misses: the small, old workshop where he started back then.
