We left Florida for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was to escape the darned hurricanes. Unfortunately, these nasty storms even travel inland quite a way bringing lots of rain, flooding and wind. We have gotten about 8 inches or so of rain so far and you all know we have made many improvements to our drainage system which has kept us above water during this nasty storm. Our hearts go out to the many folks out there who were not so lucky. We can only hope they are safe and recover quickly with the help of their neighbors, insurance and local governments. As for the deer, they don’t seem to mind the wind and rain and the dogs seem to get energy from the blustery weather. So, there it is. Hope everyone is OK out there!
