Since then...
BabyFurcon has started hiding my tweets. That's as much of a response as I expected.
A bunch of guys called me misogynistic slurs such as "Cr*ck h*" and other very immature insults.
Some say that these tweets were a long time ago, when, in fact, many of these tweets and some of the most hateful ones are within the last year.
Some say that I am doing this for attention or for money or for fame. I'm doing this because i'm tired of people thre*tening me out of spaces that I once loved.
I was in Chicago for CAPCON 2023, but I didn't go to any of the events or hang out with anybody because I was afraid of the people who thre*tened me. I have been in this community for a very long time and helped develop some of these events in their early years, but unfortunately, now I can no longer visit because they are unsafe spaces.
In my 15+ years of going to conventions, i've never tried to exclude anybody, until these people started thre*tening me.
Ever since my surgery, I have not been able to respond well to hate. I would hope this community would protect the vulnerable. In 2023 I could not fight people or protect myself like I once could, so expecting to me to be in a place where people are thre*tening me is not okay.
I'm an incredibly successful creator in other parts of my life. I need to move past this community because it has broken my heart too many times. I will still make things that please me. But I have lost any connection with the heart of this space. Because the heart in this space is deceitful above all things, and I need to be in a place that respects me the way I deserve to be respected.
I need to be in a place where people care about each other.
