The aircraft that truly gave China and Russia nightmares were the B-2 stealth bomber and the F-117 Nighthawk. This aircraft, according to China, is capable of detecting US stealth fighters at a distance of 200 miles using an Active Electronically-Scanned Array radar. Actually, the 200-mile range is from "a certain angle." And less than 2% of the time, it is likely that the F-22 will approach at that particular angle. It is much more likely that the KJ-600 won't find the American fighter until after it has fired two pairs of AIM-120D. The cherry on top is that the US Navy has E/A-18G Growlers, the most advanced carrier-launched airborne electronic attack aircraft in existence.
