‘We want to put in place electoral reform that lasts’: Anthony Albanese on donations

Sky News Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called for “electoral reform that lasts” and a range of “transparency measures” on political donations on all donations above $1,000.
Independent MP Kate Chaney has called for real-time disclosure on donations to political candidates so they are more transparent, ahead of the Dunkley byelection this Saturday.
“We have, through our minister, engaged in good-natured discussion, good-faith discussion, with the crossbench, but also with the Opposition, because what we want to put in place is electoral reform that lasts.
“I’ve had representation, as you would be aware … from people who’ve been supporting of the crossbench about the crossbench being enlarged … by people who put forward different position with regard to the range of transparency measures which we have historically support.
“We do support disclosure for all donations above $1,000.”
