In this video I will share with you the events of this month, and discuss a topic of 'discrimination of Russians in Georgia'. Thousands of people left Russia after the beginning of the Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine. Many of them move specifically to Georgia, because Russian citizens can stay in this country up to one year without a visa. People are leaving Russia for different reasons: some of them run from criminal prosecution for their anti-war activity, some of them have not been prosecuted yet but leave because they disagree with this war and can't live in constant anxiety (that's my case btw), and some of them never cared about politics but leave the country for economic reasons.
Given the difficult relationships between Russia and Georgia, this influx of people creates a tension in the Georgian society. This is manifested in communication with Georgians, graffiti on the streets, but to a greater extent, of course, in the internet comments. And now I'd like to reflect on this and tell how I try to cope with it. Also, I'll share my thoughts on the one-year anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war, react to Putin's speech to the Russian parliament, and go to the anti-war demonstration in Tbilisi.
