Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a grateful heart.
You are my shepherd, and I am your sheep. I thank you for leading me beside still waters and restoring my soul. When I am lost, you find me. When I am weak, you carry me.
When I am broken, you heal me. You are my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my shield, my stronghold, my salvation, my refuge.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not fear, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff comfort me, and I know that goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Thank you for your constant presence and care, and for the promise of eternal life in your house.
Gracious God, I come before you today with a humble heart.
You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
You will rescue me from the fowler's snare, from the deadly pestilence.
You will cover me with your feathers, and under your wings I will find refuge.
Your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart.
I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me.
I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because I have made the Lord my refuge, the Most High my dwelling, no harm will befall me, no disaster will come near my tent.
For he will command his angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways; they will lift me up in their hands, so that I will not strike my foot against a stone.
I will tread upon the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.
Thank you for your unwavering love and faithfulness, and for the assurance that you will always be with me.
O Lord, my help comes from you, the Maker of heaven and earth.
You will not let my foot slip--you watch over me and never sleep. You are my shade at my right hand, and the sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night.
You will keep me from all harm--you will watch over my life; you will watch over my coming and going both now and forevermore.
I lift my eyes up to the hills--where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
You are my refuge, my strength, my shelter, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my shield, my stronghold, my salvation, my anchor.
You are my everything. I will trust in you with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding.
In all my ways I will acknowledge you, and you will make my paths straight.
You are my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear. Amen
