The core of Rev Albert Kang's message is how each individual believer must discern and respond to their unique, God-given calling. He emphasizes the need for immediacy in answering this call, just as the disciples left their nets at once to follow Jesus.
He also stresses the importance of humility, as God often chooses the "lowly things of this world" to accomplish His purposes, rather than the proud and boastful.
Undergirding this call is the assurance that God will provide the necessary resources and endowment for each person's assigned task. "When God calls you to solve a problem, He has already built the solution within you!"
The sermon urges the congregation to discern their spiritual gifts and how they fit into the "fivefold ministry" described in Ephesians 4.
Ultimately, the goal is for believers to wholeheartedly live out their God-given calling, becoming an "assigned blessing" to those around them. Kang encourages the church to constantly listen for and obediently respond to the ever-present call of God on their lives.
