Über Nice Surprise
Wer denkt bei Titeln wie „Eye of the Tiger“ oder „Since You Been Gone“ nicht an verzerrte Gitarrenriffs aus hohen Boxentürmen und an wummernde Drums? Wer sieht beim barocken „A Whiter Shade of Pale“ keine Orgel vor sich; bei „Land Of A Thousand Dances“ von Wilson Pickett keine zehnköpfige Soulband mit Bläsern und Backround-Chor?
Aber genau diese und einige Dutzend weitere - oft vermeintlich unplugged-untaugliche - Songs interpretiert das Akustik-Trio „Nice Surprise“. Teils erstaunlich nah am Original, teils auf seine eigene, unverwechselbare Art.
Rock-, Soul oder Party-Kracher, Country, Gypsy-Swing, Latin, Folk ... Mit dem wahrscheinlich buntesten Stilmix, seit es Unplugged-Trios gibt, bringt das Trio ihr Publikum zum Tanzen, Mitsingen oder auch einfach zum verzückten Zuhören und Träumen. Die drei erfahrenen Vollblutmusiker spielen bekannte internationale Songs aus der Zeit, in der Rock’n Roll noch nicht aus dem Telefon kam und man mp3 für einen neuen Roboter aus Star Trek gehalten hätte.
