Exhibition on stories of 20,000 Jewish refugees living in Shanghai during WWII to open in Manhattan

ShanghaiEye魔都眼 An exhibition in downtown Manhattan, centering on the stories of the 20,000 Jewish refugees who fled to the Chinese city of Shanghai during WWII, will open for free from August 1-14, 2023, from 9 am to 8 pm, at Fosun Plaza (28 Liberty Street).
Titled "Shanghai, Homeland Once Upon a Time – Jewish Refugees and Shanghai," the exhibition will showcase more than 200 photographs and around 30 pieces of replica memorabilia, depicting how Jews lived in Shanghai, "a modern-day Noah's Ark", during WWII and their friendship with the Chinese people.
All the traveling exhibits are from the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum, as well as videos and personal stories from Jewish refugees and their descendants. Don't miss it!
Meanwhile, "Jewish Melodies left in Shanghai," a documentary, produced by Shanghai Media Group(SMG), telling the stories of Jewish performers and composers active in Shanghai from the 1920s to the 1940s, will premiere at Harmony Gold Preview House in Los Angeles on July 29, 2023.
