Dear Lord,
Help me to understand why you allow me to struggle.
So many times, I feel alone in my thoughts.
There are days that I struggle to get out of bed in the morning.
Anger penetrates my heart when I am having a bad day.
Often, I feel that I am not loved by anyone in my orbit.
I feel that my family doesn’t understand me.
My thoughts sometimes wonder if the world would be better without me.
I ask that you guide me back to you.
Show me the light back into your warm embrace and your graces.
Help me to see that my struggles will bring me closer to you.
For you died on the cross for me, so that my sins will be forgiven.
You paid the ultimate price for all of those who were hopeless and lost.
I am your lost sheep now and wish to be found.
I ask for this in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
