Jorge’s Cantina in Waco officially opened its doors to the public Thursday. The Mexican restaurant is the newest adventure of the owners behind the iconic Waco staple, George’s.
Sammy Citrano is the longtime owner of George’s and is getting ready to mark his 50th year in the restaurant business.
“I’m excited because it’s a great opportunity for my son, my nephew, and Chris Cady and the management staff here, Sean McGuire, at Jorge’s here to us to grow our brand an open up something new for the community and give more jobs for Waco.”
Jorge’s, the Spanish word for George’s, will specialize in authentic inland and coastal Mexican classics with a Texas twist.
