Best Wishes (2015) is an original composition for solo marimba. It was commissioned by Max Farbman in 2014, as a gift for his former percussion instructor, Lia DeRoin. This piece is based around a short, repeating rhythmic pattern, and a simple melody. In the spirit of gratitude, it is written with best wishes for Lia in all of her future endeavors, wherever they may take her.
