Islam is one of the largest religions in the world and its a good religion for men who want to have many wives. In western societies, Muslims are restricted from having second wives and Muslim women have a bit more empowerment then they would if they were in a western country. Therefore, men aren't getting away with having many wives. In response, Muslim men are starting to have secret wives. But they are not technically secret wives because they need to have two witnesses. So, someone knows about them, perhaps a couple of buddies, but their wives might have no idea. Furthermore they are allowed to lie about it to their wives.
