As Opener for our series about germanic history we taking a short dive into the sources of our knowlegde about those mysterious germanic people who keep being deeply misunderstood in modern cinema, like for example in Netflix' Barbarians.
Often they appear as "fur-hung, half wild Barbarians" without any real culture.
Today we're talking about where many of these truly inaccurate images originated and how we even know of the existence of this conglomeration of tribes that we refer to as "germanics" today.
