Sculpting Hair with Zmodeler and Box Modeling in ZBrush 🔎🔍

We get asked about hair techniques a lot so we wanted to share Mark Lambert's approach + artwork which is next level (Check him out here: https://www.artstation.com/remenance)
Onto the hair tut, with the updates made to ZBrush, this technique is even faster to do!
1. Insert low-resolution sphere. Use select to hide and delete the bottom half.
2. Use Move/Project to match the sphere to the head. Added some additional loops to around the base.
3. Use Masking/Select to create Polygroups followed by a group split
4. Time for Zmodeler! Use Extrude Move to extend the hair (plus Move and 5. Edge Move to position the parts)
6. When you have the hair in position use Dynamic subdiv to add thickness, then crease the edges.
7. Now divide followed by a polish to clean up any artifacts!
This is a great technique to get you using Zmodeler and a taste of box modeling within ZBrush itself.
