Matthew 13:24-43 - Kingdom Parables
Jesus opens up many of His Parables with the phrase: "The Kingdom of heaven is like..." We call them the Kingdom Parables. Jesus uses them to describe the church.
The picture that Jesus paints with these Kingdom parables is sobering. He tells us we have an enemy who seeks to infiltrate [sneak into] the church. Our enemy does so because he wants to spread sin among the believers.
Sadly many people never hear the warning because the only way to interpret a parable is to ask the one who shared it. Which is why it is so important for us to study the Word, ask questions, so that we understand the warning the Lord gives to us!
