On 27th May we also came to millet village Orizare and set up close to church. Some stories:
Joseph had conversations with two guys, one who spoke very good English. He said he loved the show, and he connected well with Joseph because he had visited Cairo before. He opened up and shared that he suffers from fear and panic attacks, so he can't travel anymore because he is afraid of flying and traveling. Joseph prayed for him, which he received very positively and thankfully. Joseph asked if he wanted to meet with someone about Jesus, and he said yes! Our Turkish translator took his phone number and name, and then shared his testimony. The guy was really shocked when he said he used to be a Muslim and listened very intently as he shared his story. As they were talking, another guy heard and became interested. He confessed that he was addicted to alcohol and was really struggling. He asked to pray for him, and after the prayer he said he felt something inside him he couldn't explain.
While Sandra and Erin were talking with a guy, a girl came over to help translate to Bulgarian. When the guy left, they started to talk with her. Her name is Annie. She shared that she knows something about Jesus, but from the Jehovah's witnesses, so she was confused about who Jesus is. She started to ask about the name of God-- is it Jehovah or Allah? Why do Christians say it is not Allah? Erin explained that Allah is just the Arabic word for God, but the church tries not to use it just to be different. Sandra told her to start reading the Gospel of John and exchanged İnstagram contacts, encouraging her to read it and ask her anything she wanted. Sandra even said they could do a study over Instagram, and she seemed very positive. Annie said she had been reading the book of the Jehovah's witnesses and found it confusing. Sandra encouraged her to stop reading that and read John instead, that because it is truly inspired by God it is not confusing.
Alison started to draw a portrait before the show for a teenager from the church. The teenager later shared with her that the moment he had his picture drawn was the best moment of his life.
