The best way to experience God is to allow Him to lead you as you simply yield your vessel to Him.
To yield is to give way for the Lord that He may have His way in and through you.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all [you] who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light."
As you yield to Jesus, He takes what is yours, which is heavier and gives you His, which is lighter.
The learning of Him is a followership. What is left is to follow and allow Him to have His way in and through our lives. He gives you His gentleness and swallows up all your weaknesses.
Matthew 4:19 Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
When you follow Him, you must subscribe your will to His leading. That's when you find yourself in the right place, at the right time, with the right people, doing the right things.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20
There are prerequisites of followership; We must love Him, have continuous fellowship with Him and hear His voice.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Each one of us has a cross to carry (Himself); take up your cross, and follow Him (Yield) and your weaknesses will drop off.
His leading is to clear the way for you because the victory you need is in Him.
Romans 7:19-20
When we come to Christ Jesus and fully yield to His leading and His finished work, the life of Adam will no longer reign over us.
John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption are all in Christ Jesus. The more of yourself you yield to Him, the more holiness you walk in. ( 1 Corinthians 1:30).
Ps 119:105
The more of His word I get, the more light that exposes the weaknesses in me for me to align myself. The truth you know will not automatically make you free until you align your will with His. ( John 8:32 ).
Mark 4:38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"
It was until the disciples involved Jesus that He intervened. We must always allow Him to have His way even in the simplest things.
Ezekiel 2:2 Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me.
The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it [was] full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and indeed [they were] very dry....Ezekiel 37:1-2
And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" So I answered, "O Lord GOD, You know." Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! Ezekiel 37:3-4
Ezekiel gave the Lord His way and he simply followed. The moment Jesus took the lead, the bones were able to live again. The key to our success is embedded in our yieldedness and obedience.
We need to learn to yield and let Him have His way.
