Hebrews 2:14-15 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
You are no longer a slave to whatever kind of fear that has been controlling and manipulating your life because you are a child of God. The first spirit that attacked man when he fell was the spirit of fear. The devil uses fear to subject men to bondage.
Job 3:25 For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.
Fear is faith in the negative. That is why every time the disciples found themselves in a place where the enemy was stirring up a storm against them, Jesus would ask them why they feared. (Mark 4:35-41) When the word came from Jairus' house that his daughter was dead, Jesus told him not to fear (Mark 5:35-36) and so did he tell Peter when he began sinking. (Matthew 14:31)
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The enemy uses fear to bring to pass his word upon your life. No matter the times the negative patterns have been repeating in your life, do not fall prey to the spirit of fear because it is an invitation to the enemy.
Through death, Christ destroyed him who held many in bondage by the "fear of." You are not a victim of the spirit of fear because you are a child of God.
Romans 8:15-17 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
We have the same right to the inheritance that Christ has entered into. We do not pray, or seek to get into, but we pray to manifest. Hold on to His Word- the sent Word; what He revealed, spoke, or showed to you: let it be the anchor of your soul that passes into the Holy of Holies.
This is what Joseph held on to when everything that was happening to him spoke contrary (Psalms 105:17-20) . Every time God speaks, His Word will not return to Him void; it is you who is at a disadvantage if you do not believe the Word because someone else will believe it and walk into its manifestation.
Sometimes God will change the situation or allow it to go on but instead change you, it is His prerogative. It depends on what He wants to fulfill in your life. No matter what is going on in and around you, keep your eyes on the Master because all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called to His purpose.
Luke 18:17-18 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
In all your doing, keep your eyes on the author and the finisher of your faith. Work on your attitude and see things through the eyes of the Spirit. Any attempt to control things going on around you will result in futility, only God has the power to control our environment but our work is to trust and believe Him.
However, will the Son of man find you believing, trusting, and holding on to His Word? God's word is His will and purpose for your life. You may let everything else go but hold on to His Word.
