Prince Harry has recently slammed the British press and tabloids for attempting to persuade him to do something 'utterly dumb' in order to sell more newspapers.
During his time in the High Court witness box, the Duke of Sussex levelled these allegations at the media.
According to OK magazine, Prince Harry began the conversation by outlining how he used to be a 'blank canvas' for the press when he was younger.
This supposedly provided them with a 'in' to "work out what kind of person you are and what kind of problems and temptations you might have."
"They then begin to nudge you towards playing the role or roles that suit them best and sell the most newspapers, especially if you are the 'spare' to the 'heir,'" he continued.
By his twenties, Prince Harry had been labelled as the "playboy prince," the "failure," and the "dropout."
As a result, Prince Harry says he became too invested in the "headlines and stereotypes" attributed to him.
"Because I figured, if they're going to print this garbage about me and people are going to believe it, I might as well 'do the crime,' so to speak."
As a result, the Prince fell into a "downward spiral" in which he was forced to "sell a lot of newspapers."
