Legendary singer Tina Turner's childhood friends and classmates held a memorial to celebrate her life which took place at Flagg Grove school, her childhood elementary scholl in Brownsville Tenesse.
83 candles were lit, one for each year of Ms Turner's life.
Moving speeches were given in which her friends told stories of how they met with her and how wonderful their friendships were.
Fans in Switzerland also paid tribute to the singer by placing flowers and candles on the gate of her house.
Tina died on May 24 after going through health issues for so long. The rock and roll star had struggled with Kidney disease and Intestinal cancer for years.
She is survived by her husband Erwin Bach and two sons whom he adopted from her ex husband Ike Turner.
