Pearlside Main Campus All of us are called by God to fulfill His purpose and will face contradictions to that calling. Situations and obstacles will arise that discourage us and prevent us from fulfilling God’s call. In the Bible, we find that Mary had to navigate such obstacles when she received God’s call to be the mother of Jesus. She was in a difficult position to be pregnant while being a virgin and not yet married. Yet she surrendered her fear and placed her faith in God to do the impossible. Practically, Mary also sought out Elizabeth, her cousin, who recognized what God was doing in her life and encouraged her. We too are called to trust in God and must walk with the right people who are also pursuing God. There, we discover that we are not alone and receive the strength to persevere. God is always faithful to fulfill His purpose for us as we continue to trust in Him.
