Approximately 50 days after Passover comes another Biblical holiday that was one of the biggest events in early Christianity, as well as early Judaism. On this day the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples gathered in an upper room. During this event we read of a visual phenomenon that is described as divided tongues of fire that appear above the heads of the disciples. What is interesting is that this visual phenomenon is not a unique event. There is one other place in the Bible, connected to Pentecost, where this sight occurs.
