FRANCE 24 English Efforts towards a truce in the Israel-Hamas war appeared to rekindle on Saturday after a new proposal from the Palestinian militant group. In response, Israel said it would send a delegation Sunday to Qatar for another round of talks on a possible deal. Meanwhile Israel is keeping on the table the option of an offensive into the southern city of Rafah where 1.5 million Palestinians are crammed, FRANCE 24's Catherine Norris Trent said, reporting from Jerusalem.
