In support of Men's International Mental Health Awareness Day on November 19th, singer-songwriter, Barry Hyde, most prominently known as the lead singer and guitarist of world-renowned English post-punk band, The Futureheads, joins us for an interview with Senior School Music Teacher, Mr. Riby.
In 2016, Barry released a solo album titled Malody, which documents his personal experiences with mental health. Barry also discusses his past, present and future career, along with his opinions on the importance of creativity and authenticity, his own musical influences, the purpose of the modern artist, the pressures of entrepreneurialism in the music industry, and the difficulties of being a young person in today's modern/technological world.
A huge thank you to Barry for being so open, vulnerable and honest about his experiences. It is certainly an inspiring story that we can't wait for you to hear.
