DGA Disc Golf Dear DGA Fans,
It is with a wide mix of emotions that I am announcing my departure from disc golf. Over the past four years, I've had the honor of serving as the Marketing Manager, being a content creator and spokesperson for this remarkable disc golf company. Allow me to share a few reflections and express my gratitude.
When I first stumbled upon disc golf, I never anticipated the journey it would take me on. My brother-in-law Jon introduced it to me fifteen years ago and like a lot of us, I thought it was SUPER nerdy at first. Turns out I was right, I just wasn’t that kind of nerd yet--but it didn’t take long. After ten years I began making some funny disc golf videos, which got me a message from DGA.
Scott Keasey (DGA General Manager) and I got on a phone call, and realized almost immediately that we had a lot in common. We both approach business, marketing, and life very similarly. I was soon working full time at DGA, as our first full-time remote employee. I'll always be grateful that Farina Headrick took that chance on me ❤️
Looking back, I am immensely proud of what we've achieved together. From a complete rebrand to hundreds of fun videos, we've elevated DGA's presence, sparked conversations and shown people that we not only make the best baskets in the sport, but also have an incredible line of discs. As the first disc golf company, DGA deserves all the recognition it receives and more. It has been an honor to contribute to its growth and identity.
In embracing Steady Ed's belief that the "Most Fun Wins," we've had a lot of fun together. I will miss ending every work week with you all on DGA Live.
Now, a new chapter awaits me, driven by the needs of my growing family. Although my presence may be less prominent, please know that I'm not disappearing entirely. This is my two week’s notice, so I’ll be still around for a bit. After that I may be a little less prominent, but I plan to still be an active member in the Facebook group and Discord server, and you can always reach out to me with any questions about DGA discs. And yes, please continue to tag me whenever the Torrent makes an appearance :)
