In Loving Memory of Richard Carver

Richard Edward Carver lost his battle with life on July 23, 2020 in Lebanon, IN at the age of 44. Rich was born to Richard L. and Mary (Weitzel) Carver on December 13, 1975. He grew up on the family farm in rural Plain, WI and spent the majority of his adult life in Madison, WI. Rich attended the River Valley School District in Spring Green, WI, graduating in 1994. He was involved in many activities, with wrestling and football being his favorites. After three semesters at U.W. Platteville, Rich found his calling in the construction field, joining the Carpenters Local 314 Unit in Madison, WI. Within a year of joining the union, he found his home with J.H. Findorff and Sons, Inc. At the age of 26 he was promoted to Foreman and by the age of 32 he was officially named as Superintendent, being the youngest Superintendent in Findorff history. All of the workers that were blessed with working for Rich, loved him. If they were assigned to his job, they knew that they would be excited to go to work. He was an incredible leader and motivator, and he knew construction like no other. His sense of humor made their job fun.

Rich was united in marriage to Jessy Klubertanz on July 24, 1999. The marriage was blessed with two children, Cammy and Chase. Rich was a very loving father. Rich was always known as the life of the party. He knew how to make everyone smile. Rich loved hunting, 4-wheeling, generating extreme culinary creations, and being with family and friends. Rich was best known for his sense of humor and wearing his heart on his sleeve. He was always there to help or console anyone in need, and put a smile on their face

Rich is survived by his children, Cammy and Chase Carver; the mother of his children, Jessy Carver, Madison, WI; his parents, Richard L. and Mary Carver, Plain, WI; five siblings, Sherry Divine, Helena, MT; Chris (Sue) Meixelsperger, Salinas, CA; Shirley (Tim) McCluskey, Plain, WI; Sheila Carver (Dan Judd), Plain, WI; Sheley (Jeff) Scallon, Hillpoint, WI; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins and many friends. Rich was proceeded in death by his grandparents; Lloyd and Clara Belle Carver; Buddy and Almeda Weitzel; and brother-in-law, Steve Divine.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Plain Community Park pavilion, off Main Street by the pool, on Friday, August 7, 2020 from Noon to 3 p.m. An open house visitation will commence at noon, and an informal service will be held at 2 p.m. Due to COVID-19, there will not be a luncheon. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date to spread his remains at his deer stand on the family farm per his request.
