Tilya Ecological Social Cooperative sets an example for cooperatives operating in this field by highlighting environmental awareness with many practices such as permaculture systems and saving irrigation and fertilisation methods.
Every year, the first Saturday of July is celebrated as International Co-operative Day with the decision taken by the United Nations (UN) and the International Co-operative Association (ICA) in 1995 to raise awareness of co-operatives and promote international solidarity and economic efficiency.
