At Home In Wild Spaces Grant Grove is home to one of the largest trees in the world, and the largest Christmas tree on earth—the General Grant Tree. Considered only slightly smaller than General Sherman, considered the largest surviving tree on earth, General Grant is a mesmerizing natural wonder worthy of a visit.
Located in modern day Kings Canyon National Park, the General Grant tree is either the second or third largest tree on earth and one of the most famous giant sequoias in the world.
But Grant's Grove is home to more than just the world's largest Christmas Tree. There are many other incredible and sobering trees and stumps found within this remarkable grove. From the "Fallen Monarch", a giant tree named for General Grant's civil war nemesis Robert E Lee, and colossal charred stumps that remind visitors of giant sequoias lost forever, Grant Grove is a treasure trove worthy of profound respect.
